If you are leaving the house, or working in the fields, or driving a vehicle, you will get an alert about a disaster like thunderstorm, earthquake about 30 minutes in advance. Actually, a device has been prepared by the Disaster Management Authority in collaboration with IIT Patna. The locket-shaped device has been named NITISH (Novel and Intense Technological Intervention for Human Lives).
Instant information can be exchanged simultaneously
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched this device. He said that whatever new device and technology is being used, people should be made aware about it. Additional Chief Secretary of Disaster Management Department, Pratyaya Amrit told the Chief Minister that with this modernized system, instant information can be exchanged simultaneously from all the district emergency operation centers. With the introduction of decision support system, inter-departmental coordination will improve in the event of a disaster; disaster operations will be executed better by forecasting resources. During this, the Chief Minister said that I am very happy with the introduction of this system today. Now disaster operations can be executed with better coordination.
This device can be charged only by body energy
Here, Dr. Udaykant, Vice Chairman of Bihar State Disaster Management Authority, gave information about the updated works of Bihar State Disaster Management Authority through a presentation. He informed that an alerting device has been developed in collaboration with IIT Patna, which is unique in the world. Through this, if laborers working in the fields and people going out wear this device on their body, they will start getting information about the disaster 30 minutes in advance, which will alert them. This device can be charged only by the energy of the body. With the help of Bihar Meteorological Service Center, it will give advance warning not only in case of lightning but also in disasters like flood, extreme heat i.e. heat wave and cold wave. Bihar State Disaster Management Authority has named this pendant shaped device as Nitish. Its Hindi translation will be Neet, Swift and Powerful Jeevan Suraksha Kavach (Nitish).
